The discussion on the regional history that begins in the decade of 1980 in the field of the Argentine historiography grants a great transcendency to the scopes and possibilities that were assuming to that from a perspective that one was presenting like new for being opposed to the studies encircled to the provincial limits. Nevertheless, before this question was appearing in the field historiográfico, positionings and practices were registered linked by the construction of the regions and the regional studies. In this respect, Ramon Tissera's reflections at the beginning of the decade of 1970 turn out to be a contribution of interest in this effort to define the region in which this author was situated inserted. On the other hand, the analysis of his production reveals the difficulty to define the regional frame, as well as the late conformation and the particular characteristics of the field historiográfico regionally and his entail with the political field
