The president since 1983, Raúl Alfonsín, and his government tried to establish one story about de history of the recent past, but that wasn't the only one.In this work we intend to show the forms in which the different readings of the past of the seventies entered in struggle during the following democratic years, given special attention to the "uses of the past" in public sphere. We've choice analyze the discourses of the politic power, specially the words and the acts of government of the president, and on the other hand the ways in which the military leadership interpreted this recent past. We have made this selection because we think that they were the most important protagonist and they have de major public repercussion. We analyze the episodes of Semana Santa 1987 leading by Aldo Rico, and we intend to show the different forms about reading the recent past and the uses of that past in specific events.
