The present article is enrolled within the studies of sociability practices that have been produced in the inside of the Argentinian historiographical field during the last years. Specifically, the reflection axes comprise a group of practices, a space and a time which are delimited: sociability practices during summer holidays in Mar del Plata between 1887 and 1923. Although this subject has already been visited by historians, the innovation in our text lies in the crossing of sources of qualitative nature, authorized by the perspective of Cultural History. So we will not pay attention to sociability practices but to the writing of such practices, carried out by lady member of the dominant class in Santa Fe: Elvira Aldao de Díaz. In this respect, the question about the implication of the author in this subject, as well as about the background of the writing, give complexity to the analysis of sociability.
