Abstract

JUSTINIANO, María Fernanda  and  TEJERINA, María Elina. Tax changes in the Spanish colonial periphery: The new American Independent countries, the case of Salta in the Nineteenth Century. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.1. ISSN 1669-9041.

The consolidation of independence and the Argentinean national state formation presuppose a great transformation and innovation in tax matters, and the emergence of new fiscal space, with its regulations, officials, institutions and territories. This article aims to observe changes or continuities in the practice and the political fiscal, during the formation of Salta provincial state, without falling into the discussion between an ancient or a modern tax system.

Keywords : Fiscal History; History of Salta; History of Argentina; Economic History.
