Between 1912 and 1915, the San Miguel Ovejero family made in the city of Buenos Aires a real estate investment that would commemorate their name and the province of Salta: The Galería General Güemes. With its 77 meters high, this skyscraper not only operated as a way to diversify the accumulated capital, but allowed to materialize through architecture the power of their owners in the Capital of the Nation. This article focuses on the construction of this building analyzing both, its architecture and the maneuvers and negotiations that were necessary for its execution
