This paper analyzes, from a historical-political point of view, the shaping of university-industry relations in terms of the emergence of a political realm made possible by the emergence and development of a new epistemic regime: the politicized science and technology. The case of study analyzed is the constitution of the Center for Transfer of Research Results (CETRI Litoral) of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, which is the result of the cooperation with the Center for Technology Transfer (CTT) of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. This work uses a conceptual framework to grasp the formation of university-industry ties and the emergence of a political realm which constitute new forms of legitimacy for the university to emerge and are consolidated from the processes of self-understanding built by agents operating in the university governance. We also analyze how it enhances the emergence of a new ethos in the research community that promotes university-industry relations. This work builds its explanatory pondering specific processes occurring within the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, that plot with global processes of transformation of the mode of social existence of science and technology.
