Herbert Marcuse has shown how technological rationality supports three social models of the twentieth century: the advanced industrial society (marked by monopoly capitalism), Soviet Marxism and German fascism. We want to show the critical components that have shaped technological rationality, which closely linked with politics and science have conquered science and technology as well as all kinds of knowledge. Herbert Marcuse's thoughts will be the starting point for this analytical exploration.
