Resumen
KRAMER, G. R; MENDEZ, C. M y ARES, A. E. Influence of immersion time in ethanol in the corrosion resistance of Al-Si alloys. An. AFA [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.3, pp.124-127. ISSN 0327-358X.
The importance of the impact of contaminant energy generates the adoption of friendly energy environment. This makes finding replacements for fossil fuels with biomass fuels. Bioethanol is within the vast range of biofuels, which comes from the fermentation of sugar-rich substrates. This bio-alcohol is used as additive / cutting oil to gasoline, or directly as a fuel for automotive engines with appropriate technology (flex). Aluminum is a structural material of choice in modern industry due to their low density and excellent mechanical properties. Its use is intensive in the automotive industry and is indicated as replacement material for steel. Aluminum properties are improved by adding other materials as alloying. In the present investigation the corrosion resistance of Al-Si alloys, exposed to a corrosive environment, bioethanol (produced in the province of Misiones, Argentina) were determined.
