Resumen
GOMEZ, B.J; RICO, L y GARCIA MOLLEJA, J. Manufacturing of TiAlN coatings deposited by magnetron with mosaic target on WC substrates. An. AFA [online]. 2016, vol.27, n.2, pp.60-66. ISSN 0327-358X.
In this paper, tungsten carbide (WC) blades were covered with TiAlN thin films by reactive magnetron sputtering. The achieved improvement was the use of a mosaic target (Ti-Al) with a special design. Surface images were obtained with SEM. GIXRD showed that the structure was metastable (wurtize) and with EDS a low amount of Ti was detected in film composition. Finally, under scratch tests a good TiAlN adherence performance was determined, because of the fracture dissipation under this four-stage deposition procedure.
