LUNA, D. A; PEREZ, D.N; PALACIOS, F y CIFUENTES, A. Analysis of atomic clocks stability using the GPS Common-View technique. An. AFA [online]. 2016, vol.27, n.2, pp.73-78. ISSN 0327-358X.
This paper presents a stability evaluation of three cesium clocks maintained by various argentine institutions: INTI (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial), ONBA (Observatorio Naval de Buenos Aires), and IGN (Instituto Geográfico Nacional). Given the fact that the three clocks are not located in the same place, the GPS Common View technique was used to compare the signals generated by the three oscillators. INTI and IGN report their measurements to the BIPM (International Bureau of Weights and Measures), the organization in charge of computing the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC time scale and it's rapid realization: UTCr). As a consequence of this, it was possible to compare the results with independent calculations (BIPM weekly report of UTCr), obtaining consistent values. The main feature of the developed method is the possibility of extracting information about stability at averaging times of about two hours.
