Abstract

IOCOLI, Gastón Alejandro  and  GOMEZ, Marisa Anahí. Utilización de digerido anaeróbico de purín de cerdo: actividad biológica del suelo y desarrollo vegetal. Cienc. suelo [online]. 2015, vol.33, n.1. ISSN 1850-2067.

The objective of this study was to evaluate soil biological activity and lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) development after applying increasing rates of pig digestate, pig slurry and two chemical fertilizers: Urea and Urea + Diamonium Phosphate (DAP). Soil biological activity was determined in microcosms by measuring CO2 emission and lettuce development was evaluated in pots under greenhouse conditions. In both cases, a completely randomized experimental design was used. A linear positive response for both, biological activity and plant development, was observed after applying increasing doses of digestate. The highest biological activity was observed after 168 hours in pig slurry, followed by digestate, Urea, Urea + DAP and control. The microbiota activation was observed at 6 hours for digestate, at 12 hours for chemical fertilizers and 24 hours for pig slurry. Pig slurry achieved the highest lettuce fresh weight followed by digestate. The latter differentiated from control treatment, but not from the chemical fertilizer treatment. It is concluded that, in the first hours, the digestate produced a rapid increase in soil biological activity and a positive response in lettuce development, similar to what was observed with chemical fertilizers.
