The present essay describes the Avellaneda's Fiorito Hospital history by the late forties and the begining of the fifties. The point of view of Emergency Service practicantes (advanced medicine students training in practice before graduation) makes an important aspect of it. The plot is made up by the combination of narrative fragments -mainly taken from Hospital ex practicantes interviews, newspapers and magazines. The challenge has been to produce an ethnographic experimental writing and to explore the paradoxs involved in transliteration.
