The field work was carried out in the latest planned colonization in the Alto Valle de Río Negro, today the areas of Chichinales, Villa Regina y General Enrique Godoy. Productive units of not over twenty five hectare surface have been chosen because it was the historical measure of the first settlements in this area with traditional plantations and no spraying watering. At the selection of this economy, minor production farmers have been privileged to be studied in order to understand their situation within the production circuit at a particular time in their historical process of evolution, as well as the description of their strategies and their capital.
