The aim of this article is to reflect upon the experience of a group of specialized researchers in violence, security and justice, within the framework of the "Acuerdo para una Seguridad Democrática (ASD)" in Argentina. To that effect, the article accounts for the events that gave birth to the "Acuerdo", the process of its formation and the performance of the network of researchers.
