This article examines how the nursing degree is configured as a project for low income women who finished their studies within the framework of the FinEs2 Plan. Methodologically, we consider an empirical corpus from research in two working-class districts of the city of La Plata between 2013 and 2020. From an ethnographic approach we analyzed participant observation accounts in different neighborhood spaces and in-depth interviews with female students. We problematize the linearity of the links between education and work, including an analysis of the articulation of different dimensions that mediate and intervene in the processes of project configuration. Finally, we argue that among FinEs2 graduates, representations about the future were linked to different realms of life where nursing is presented as an opportunity to broaden the horizon of what is possible.
