This paper presents some of the preliminary results of fieldwork (both surveys and excavations) conducted in the Nieves stream region within the framework of archaeological research aimed at locating post-Spanish aboriginal contexts. The two sites that have currently been identified are described, together with their archaeological finds (mostly archaeofaunal remains of domestic species and glass sherds attributed to different types of bottles, followed by some lithic materials, pieces of ceramic wares, bricks and metal objects). Finally, some preliminary chronological observations are made.
