GUILLERMO, Sandra A.. El proceso de descarte de basura y los contextos de depositación presentes en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2004, n.5, pp.19-28. ISSN 1850-373X.

In this paper the mains points of an investigation focused on the study of the process of garbage discard in Buenos Aires city is presented throughout its development from a diachronic perspective. The discard of garbage in a single city generates a diversity of contexts where the remains are finally deposited. Here, my purpose is to describe the principal characteristics of every context. In addition, I emphasize the importance of identifying and studying them together with the remains in order to have a more complete picture of the process itself and its working logic. In this way, knowledge of the depositional contexts and of their modifications through time will enable us to begin to understand the spatial distribution structure of the resulting urban archaeological record, as well as to ascertain the interrelationships that might exist with other macro elements such as demography, health statistics, and so forth.
