This paper presents the morphological and techno-stylistic characteristics of both the container and the contents of an urn burial of an infant recovered south of La Troya River in the Bolsón de Fiambalá (Department of Tinogasta, Catamarca Province). The vessels that constitute the container and offerings are compared with those recovered in similar extra-regional burials and others that come from funerary contexts of adults in cistas (cists) located within the study area. The paper discusses the signification of the mortuary practice, the ceramic objects of which signal the coexistence of decorative styles characteristic of different cultures of the Late Period or of the Regional Development Period in Catamarca Province.
