Abstract

CURTONI, Rafael Pedro  and  CHAPARRO, María Gabriela. The Mirror Of Nature And Historical Disease In The Construction Of Knowledge. Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2008, n.9, pp.213-227. ISSN 1850-373X.

In this paper the construction of knowledge in the social sciences in general, and in archaeology in particular, are discussed in relation to modern scientific thought. A critical approach is adopted in order to reconsider some taken for granted assumptions that contributed to the development of the discipline, and a reshaped praxis is proposed on the basis of concrete contemporary issues, such as reclamations by indigenous and peasant groups.

Keywords : Social sciences; Reclaims; Reshaping the praxis.
