This paper presents the results of an analysis of lithic material from the Valle Hermoso 1 site, Malargüe, Mendoza. The primary objective of this paper is to evaluate the lithic procurement and production strategies of the last 2000 years in Valle Hermoso from the perspective of technological organization. The results indicate variation in the intensity of exploitation of different raw materials, with obsidian being used most often in the production of stone tools.
