As part of an investigation into nineteenth century frontier and rural settlements on the southern frontier and south coast of Buenos Aires, an analysis of cylindrical and square glass containers from "Chapar" general store from the private collection of Mr. O. Magret was carried out. This analysis contributes to the study of the frontier and rural contexts of vitreous materials based on techno-morphological diversity, origin, chronology, and variety of products contained within these recipients, which circulated during the second half of the nineteenth century and formed part of the items on offer through trade south of Buenos Aires
