Abstract
MACIEL, Neiva R. et al. Mitral and Tricuspid Valvuloplasty in a Patient with Bivalve Stenosis. Rev. argent. cardiol. [online]. 2006, vol.74, n.1, pp.72-74. ISSN 1850-3748.
We present the case of a 43-year-old woman with a history of rheumatic fever, ischemic stroke, mitral stenosis and class III dyspnea for the last two years. Transesophageal echocardiography showed severe mitral stenosis with a 0.78 cm2 area and a severe tricuspid stenosis with a 9/16 Wilkins score. A successful percutaneous mitral and tricuspid valvuloplast was performed. One year later, the patient is asymptomatic.
