The essay here presented shows an investigation which the objective was to verify how students in a Graduation course of Biological Sciences conceive the research in Teaching of Sciences. To collect those data there were taken hand two instruments: open questionnaire and collective interview. The first was applied to students of Specific Topics of Biology Epistemology  (in Portuguese GEBCA) in which the questions were discussed lately in a collective interview. The analysis of data was oriented by two axis of discussion: the research in teaching sciences and its pressupositions; and the relation between research in teaching of sciences and the initial formation of teachers. By the analysis of the results its possible to find that some investigated students  show limitations in what respects the field of research in Sciences Teaching, showing in their answers activities of research in Sciences Teaching and activities of  teaching and similars.
