Abstract

QUEIROZ AMARAL, Anelize  and  CARNIATTO, Irene. Conceptions on environmental projects of education in the continuous background of teachers. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2011, vol.6, n.1, pp.113-123. ISSN 1850-6666.

This research was developed during a continuous background course at environmental education in order to investigate which the conceptions and teachers' expectations of elementary and high school are regarding work with projects of environmental education. For such purpose, the teachers answered to an interview, whose answers were analyzed in agreement with Bardin' analyses (1977). The analyzed results indicated that the teachers have great aspirations and difficulties, classified as it is followed: A) Necessity of integration among the teachers of different subjects, that makes unfeasible the practice of interdisciplinary; B) a lot of extra activities produce a lack of time so that the same ones share knowledge, research and think about their educational practice and C) Absence of a pedagogical team that helps them to develop the proposed works. Therefore, the teachers look for innovations and proposes that give them a new theoretical and methodological dimension to their work, in order to make possible the integration of the environmental education activities and the curriculum of the school and that motivate the participation and the whole school community's involvement, in the expectation to overcome the lonely work which, most of the time is out of the school goals.
