Abstract

BORSSOI, Adriana Helena  and  WERLE DE ALMEIDA, Lourdes Maria. Insigths about the use of technology for Meaningful Learning of students involved with mathematical modeling activities. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2015, vol.10, n.2, pp.36-45. ISSN 1850-6666.

The objective of this paper is to present some results of a research on teaching and learning environments that consider mathematical modeling activities, have technological resources and are sequentially structured as teaching units, enable meaningful learning of students. Under this text, the components of the research are explained in order to understand how the students take ownership of technologies for the modeling activities in three educational contexts. A systematic analysis of the data, according to the Grounded Theory, explicit connections between mathematical modeling, meaningful learning and technology and shows the influence of these elements in promoting collaborative work when students begin to think together with peers, with the teacher, with technology and, in student motivation to mobilize the technology as an intellectual partner.
