Abstract

DI BLASI REGNER, Mario  and  RODRIGUEZ, Mabel. The phenomenon of disarticulation between the synthetic and analytical approaches in ellipses: a case study. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2016, vol.11, n.2, pp.16-27. ISSN 1850-6666.

We present a part of the results of an implementation of an Activity of Study and Research (ASR), theoretical construct of the Anthropological Theory of the Didactics (Chevallard, 2007) that was designed as part of a research about the phenomenon of disarticulation between synthetic and analytic geometry. It was applied in a course of Algebra and Analytic Geometry in the first year of engineering carriers at National Technological University, Regional Pacheco. This study allowed students to recognize the insufficiency of synthetic techniques and the necessity of taking into account analytic ones. By offering a dynamic geometry software, GeoGebra, it was strengthened the study. The ASR promoted a research attitude in students, necessary for the reconstruction of mathematical knowledge with sense, a clear aim of the Anthropological Theory of the Didactic.

Keywords : Synthetic Geometry; Analytic Geometry; Disarticulation.
