In Brazil, there is a considerable production of materials to subsidize the teacher to develop the mathematics curriculum, which has drawn attention to the elaboration of projects and research. However, there are still no studies that systematize the academic productions about these materials, which led us to develop an investigation with the objective of mapping research on Mathematics curriculum materials; explore issues, methodology and types of research; and present a conceptual framework in Mathematics Education to guide studies on these curriculum resources. The data collection was done in 59 dissertations and theses, and the analysis was based on theories about categorization and paradigms of research problems and on the typology of Brazilian research in Mathematics Education. The results indicate the investment on changes of paradigm in research on Mathematics curriculum materials: from descriptive questions about the characteristics of the materials to those that investigate correlation and causality between different phenomena related to these curriculum resources.
