Abstract

ROQUE FERREIRA, Maria Eduarda  and  DIAS, Helena. Uma experiência na formação de futuros professores primários: aprender sobre ambiente através do ensino das ciências. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.2, pp.01-19. ISSN 1850-6666.

Current complex environmental problems pose challenges to humanity. They have to become main subject in science education, as well as component of the syllabus in teaching future teachers. The focus of this study was the pedagogical training in science teaching. It was developed during practices in primary school. It was a directed research under a qualitative action research approach. Children (n=25) from the first year of primary school participated in this research. The didactic sequence was based on practical-experimental teaching strategy. It was design under the social constructivist conception of learning. The subject of study was the "Interdependence between plant and water". We observed that the teaching-learning processes we applied revealed its learning potential of scientific concepts imbued with eco-centric attitudes. We also highlight the contribution of this study in rethinking the reconstruction of the formative pedagogical processes of future primary teachers in which science study is directed to real environmental problems.
