Due to the constant technological advance, it is necessary to reflect about the conditions that the schools find for the inclusion of these resources in teaching practices, particularly in relation to the teaching of Mathematics. The objective of this work was to verify the infrastructure of computer labs in public schools and the technical feasibility with free educational software for the teaching of Mathematics. The research had a descriptive character and was performed in public schools of the municipal elementary school in Uberlândia, southeastern Brazil. In total 20 schools, totaling 23 computer labs. Visits were made to the laboratory and analyzed technical, physical, ergonomic and safety aspects. The results showed a satisfactory infrastructure with technical, physical and security aspects favorable to the development of mathematical teaching practices. The critical point lies in the ergonomic aspects of the furniture present in the laboratories. As for the technical viability, the computational resources of the laboratories meet the minimum requirements necessary to use the free math software available in the online catalog Web-Math.
