AZZOLLINI, Susana; BAIL PUPKO, Vera  e  MIRAMON, Vanesa. Mobbingin operating theatres. Anu. investig. [online]. 2005, vol.12, pp.125-136. ISSN 1851-1686.

The aim of this comparative transversal court study was to make out the mobbing reflected by the communicational style of surgeon towards no medical staff inside two institutions: a public and a private one. The hypothesis were: a) the more harmful the situation, the more inadequate the communicational style, allowing the show up of mobbing towards the no medical staff. b) Young surgeons who weren't heads of department will develop an inadequate communication style, allowing the show up of the psychological harassment towards the no medical staff. c) Privates institutions allowed the development of both, more inadequate communicational style and more psychological harassment. A control list was built in order to remark the surgeon's communicational style during an operation, 30 surgeons of each institution had to answer a personal survey. The data had been analysed by descriptive statistic and bivariated analyses had been made to prove the hypothesis. The results proof that mobbing is a generalised way of communicational style inside the operation theatre. The more affected were the cardiovascular surgeons. It's likely to happen in private institutions, in people who are not head of department.
