Abstract

CASULLO, María Martina  and  FERNANDEZ LIPORACE, Mercedes. Assessment of adults attachment style. Anu. investig. [online]. 2005, vol.12, pp.183-192. ISSN 1851-1686.

Data on two self-report inventories to assess adults attachment styles (romantic/non romantic) are presented. They were developed based on Bartholomew's proposals on four attachment styles: secure, preoccupied, dismissing and fairful. Both versions were administered to a sample of 800 adults living in Buenos Aires city and its suburban area and aging 30 to 60 years old. Factorial analyzes showed that only three factors were obtained for the two versions: secure, preoccupied and a fairful/dismissing one. Cronbach's alphas (.45 and .52) allow to say that they have a good internal consistency considering that the original version was integrated only by 12 items.

Keywords : Assessment; Attachment; Adults.
