MENENDEZ, Pedro A; BODON, Cecilia  e  MAYORGA, Paula. The "Clinical situation" Model as applied to psychological consultation. Anu. investig. [online]. 2006, vol.13, pp.19-31. ISSN 1851-1686.

The present project delves into the applicability of the "Clinical Situation" model in the psychological consultation context. By "Clinical Situation" we mean articulation of the myriad phenomena appearing during consultation. It supposes a multiple semiology, converging epistemology and a technical attitude oriented towards planning and interdisciplinary work. The clinical psychologist must give a response that is in agreement with consultation, in terms that are understandable by the interviewed. We propose to work on direct transcriptions and reports of interviews by the clinical psychologists themselves, both on admissions and therapy. This means, this will be a report on the consequences that the understanding in terms of a "clinical situation" brings to those practicing it in admissions and during the therapeutic process. This research intends to translate its results into current Psychology teaching. "Clinical situation" and "psychological consultation" constitute fundamental concepts for psychotherapy technique, as well as for the professional's attitude to clinical work.
