Abstract

MIKULIC, Isabel María  and  CRESPI, Melina Claudia. Adaptation And Validation Of The Moos Coping Response Inventory (CRI-A) For Adults. Anu. investig. [online]. 2008, vol.15. ISSN 1851-1686.

Present study introduces adapted version of Coping Responses Inventory (CRI-A, Moos, 1993; adapted version Mikulic, 1998) and results obtained after analyzing psychometric properties. It was administered to a sample of 805 participants residing in Buenos Aires, ages between 20 and 50 years old, (M=30,5 ; SD= 8,7) 53,5% women and 46,5% men. Alpha found shows high internal consistency (.85) and specific subscales present acceptable coefficients Factorial Analysis allowed us to identify two main components: approach and avoidance, and subscales grouping as proposed by Moos theoretical approach. Only one difference arose, Seeking Alternative Rewards loaded on the opposite factor: These findings confirmed this adapted version psychometric properties make it a valid instrument to assess coping in our context.
