In keeping with the research we have been conducting, we are going to tackle the question of the obstacle. The obstacle is inherent in both psychoanalitic practice and doctrine, to the extent we could speak of a theory of the obstacle. The obstacle is inherent in the issue of drive satisfaction, and can be seen throughout Freud's production. This satisfaction, in turn, takes on different names, and towards the end of the Freudian doctrine, it is presented as the obstacle to the conclusión of the cures and the advent of new analysts.
