SAFORCADA, Enrique; DE LELLIS, Martín  and  MARTINEZ CALLE, Sandra. Comparative epidemiological study of mental health symptomatology in adults from Avellaneda and La Plata. Anu. investig. [online]. 2012, vol.19, n.1, pp.141-151. ISSN 1851-1686.

It was conducted an epidemiological questionnaire of mental symptomatology (CESIM) in two representative samples (n = 400each) of population in Avellaneda and La Plata City. The values found indicate that the mental symptomatology increases as low educational attainment, conirming the scientific inding that greater poverty is associated with worse mental health indices. In La Plata percentages were found higher than those of Avellaneda in low and medium symptoms, while symptoms are very high in Avellaneda found 20% of the sample while in La Plata involved 8.3%. In Avellaneda high mental symptomatology is higher in women (22.1%) than men (17.6%), so it can be surmised that the processes of differentially deindustrialization impact in absolute terms and by gender.
