The aim of the research "Psycho-pedagogical treatment in children and adolescents living in poverty", (ANPCyT, PhD Silvia Schlemenson) based in the School of Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires is to characterize transformations in symbolic productions in children with learning difficulties. Research is conducted in the context of a clinical program for children with learning problems socially vulnerable. The aim of this paper is to present a theoretical model for evaluating psychic and symbolic transformations of children from initial diagnosis to the end of their treatment. The model is exemplified by a case presenting the material analyzed in diagnosis, early, middle and late treatment. It is a general tool to evaluate psychic and symbolic transformations which are unique and specific in each child seen at psycho-pedagogical treatment.
