GRIGORAVICIUS, Marcelo et al. Consumption of alcohol in school children between 8 and 12 years: comparison of results between a clinical and a non-clinical population. Anu. investig. [online]. 2013, vol.20, n.1, pp.311-320. ISSN 1851-1686.
The study explores the use of alcohol and others psychoactive substances in children between 8 and 12 years of age from both a clinical population and a non-clinical one. Also surveyed the attitudes, values, beliefs and expectancies. Methodology: It is an exploratory-descriptive study. Clinical Sample: n= 55, male= 38, female= 17. Non-clinical sample: n= 63, male= 19, female= 44. CORIN (Risk Behaviors in Children), CEA-N (Questionnaire of Alcohol Expectancy in Children) and a sociodemographic data protocol were administered in the period 2010-2011. Results and conclusions: It is observed in both samples the occasional consumption of alcohol, and tobacco. Occasional alcohol consumption in children appears to be associated with conflicts in the family context, being in this field where the first consumer experiences take place.
