Abstract

TAJER, Debora; REID, Graciela; GABA, Mariana  and  SOLIS, Mónica. Gender equity in children health care quality: Part 3. Anu. investig. [online]. 2013, vol.20, n.1, pp.339-344. ISSN 1851-1686.

In Argentina there are many advances in the incorporation of psychological and social aspects to health attention to children. However, these advances have not included in a significative way the gender perspective in attention, as is promoted by international consensus (Sen & Ostlin, 2007) With the objective to measure the degree in which these advances have been incorporated in practice, this research tries to identify the way in which professionals who attend children have incorporated this knowledge in their daily practices. The dimensions chosen to reaserch were: differential epidemiology by gender, gender roles, ways of child rearing and their impact in health, violence and abuse, and gender identity disorders. This research has an exploratory and qualitative approach.

Keywords : Childhood; Gender; Health; Attention.
