The tychic encounter with the Real, traumatic dimension of lalangue constitutes an inflexion that conjoins three radical aspects: there is no Other of the Other; there is no metalanguage; there is no sexual relationship. Facing that, the speaking being may respond according to different styles: by embodying the master significant that represents him; by devoting himself to a savoir that condenses the truth in a fixed manner; or, by producing an invention around that which has found out of programme. The latter option reveals the opening to the choice. We set out to establish a point determined by the junction of three axises: a) the lacanian conception of psychoanalysis as the field of the choice; b) that the choice discussed by psychoanalysis is also defined by being traumatic; c) at last, a third element defining this point is the reference material (Bedeutung) -in this case, lalangue.
