The studies on Col lective memory (MC) posit that perceptions, emotions and intentions of individuals have a social impact that goes beyond the interpersonal and individual (Paez et al., 2007). The story is invoked as a symbolic reserved for building a personal and group identity (Liu & Hilton, 2005). The overall objective of this study is to explore the social representations of history, from the figures that a group of students mentioned as most important, aroused feelings, and differential positioning. A modified version of Liu et al. (2005) questionnaire was applied to a sample composed of 144 psychology students. The results show the salience of political leaders, peace's workers, and science's figures.
