Abstract

MICHALEWICZ, Alejandro; PIERRI, Carla  and  ARDILA-GOMEZ, Sara. Moving from health-disease-healthcare process toward heath-disease-care process: elements for its understanding. Anu. investig. [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.1, pp.217-224. ISSN 1851-1686.

Is possible to observe a recent change on the Collective Health object, from health/illness/health-care process to health/illness/care; nevertheless is not clear enough what this conceptual change implies. The purpose of this paper is to provide conceptual elements for the analysis of the "care" element of the health/illness/care process. This is framed on the theoretical work of a research project of the School pf Psychology, University of Buenos Aires, about the relationship between Primary Health Care and Mental Health. Based on a review of papers indexed at LILACS, ive categories that emerged about care are described and analyzed. Also there are presented contributions from psychology and psychoanalysis to the care concept as a fundamental human feature. Finally, an ethical dimension based on care is proposed as the organizer of health care systems and services.

Keywords : Care; Health; Mental Health; Primary Health Care; Ethics.
