Abstract

PADAWER, María  and  LUZZI, Ana M.. The informed consent in ambulatory children mental health attention as a tool of protection and promotion of rights: Exploratory study. Anu. investig. [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.1, pp.225-231. ISSN 1851-1686.

In this paper, theoretical guidelines are presented from a master's thesis set in the UBACyT project named "Therapeutic Eficacy: Development of an empirical methodology for its determination ". An exploratory study on informed consent is proposed, deined as a tool to protect and promote children's rights. The method of use and applications in different children interaction areas considered inside the general project are analized, focusing on those related to mental health care. The initiated exploratory study can generate valid resources for the strengthening of public policies that promote welfare strategies that guarantee the accessibility to mental health needs for children, according to their rights. Likewise, it is proposed as a way of systematizing relevant aspects to be approached both in the formation and in the training of the professionals as in other agents involved in the mental health care system.
