Abstract

This research aims to identify gender bias in diagnosis and therapeutic approach of health care´s team when attending adolescents, which could have impacts on the quality of health care decisions. To do this, an analysis is performed on the professional - teen - family components and the diagnosis decisions that take place in order to identify factors related to the families and adolescents demands with regards to differentials in gender and social sectors, in order to contribute to improve gender health care equity in diagnosis and therapeutic decisions. This may be possible through the use of this information in the development of an educational model for in-service training to enable relection within the health personnel in regards to their daily experience.
