Continuing with the research on transformations Lacan imposed on concepts of symptom and identification along his teachings, now we shall exam the clinical consequences of those transformations. Particularly the notion of "identification with symptom", which was proposed by Lacan in his 24^th Seminar and has been object of different interpretations. The work verifies, in irst place, the initial astonishment of Lacan's work studiers who pointed out its paradoxical character since it joins terms actually opposite. Afterwards, we will interrogate and delimit different lectures and interpretations that were elaborated by Lacan´s disciples, who sometimes adopt contrary positions among them. The exposition distributes them in two outlines: on one hand, the differences that come out of the way "identification" is conceived and on the other hand, the ones which derivate from the different ways of understanding the concepts of symptom and sinthome.
