MENA, María Inés. Winnicott, a particular way of reading psychoanalysis. Anu. investig. [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.2, pp.101-104. ISSN 1851-1686.
To consider the historical-political context with the idea of understanding this singular pschycoanalist`s contributions, his way of thinking clinic and the particularity of Reading psychoanalysis in the postwar period, they were the causes of this development. His performance as a member of the British Psychoalanysis Society (BPS) since 1935 until his death, as well as the position of Chairman in two different periods, are characterized by sustaining the continuity of psychoanalysis. This fact emphasized the importance of the contribution oF new ideas and discoverIes, in contrast to an orthodox psychoanalysIs, which was rigidly introduced since 1940, after S. Freud's death. From then on, the political-theoretical split between M. Klein and S. Freud was consolidated. Reluctant to join one or another group, He departed from them and declared himself "independent". From this position, Winnicott recreates a a pschycoanalytic language which transmits the particularities of the enunciation of his clinic.
