Abstract

In the recall, past events that were accompanied by various emotions, are remembered more vividly and longer. Autobiographical memory is a unique human system that integrates past experiences within a narrative in all of life. The memories of experienced events are integrated into perspective, interprets and evaluates about oneself and others, thus creating personal history. The aim of this paper is to analyze the relationship between emotions and memory experiences with emotional content. For this, a study that examined whether the valence of the events he modulated the evocation of emotional autobiographical memory was made. This study preliminary indicate that the participants recalled significantly emotional events, and events that evoked more positive compared with the negative and neutral.
