Abstract

ORTEGA, Ivana S.  and  RUETTI, Eliana. The memory of the preschooler child. Anu. investig. [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.2, pp.267-276. ISSN 1851-1686.

The memory of past events begins to develop early in life and has big changes in preschool. This article aims to analyze the development of the memory of children from birth to ive years, and identify factors that modulate the memory. We will describe the various paradigms used to evaluate different types of memory in children. In addition, they will analyze individual differences (emotions, temperament and language) that modulate the performance of children in learning these tasks. Findings from the literature indicate that information obtained from a level of behavioural, cognitive and environmental analysis, allows delve into the possible mechanisms involved in the modulation of memory in preschoolers.
