Abstract

CHARAF, Darío. Metapsychology, ethics, logic: death drive and no sexual relationship: Preliminary hypotheses about the ethics of psychoanalysis in the last teaching of Lacan. Anu. investig. [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.2, pp.61-68. ISSN 1851-1686.

In this work we aim to address the relationship between metapsychology, ethics and logic in psychoanalysis, to propose some preliminary hypotheses of our research about the ethics of psychoanalysis in the last period of Lacan’s teaching. For this we will study the metapsychological concept of death drive and the logical axiom “there is no sexual relationship”, trying to establish their relation with the ethics of psychoanalysis. In the first section we address the death drive concept, and we’ll propose some hypotheses about the relationship between the Freudian metapsychology and the ethics of psychoanalysis. In the second section we address the ethics of psychoanalysis from the logical axiom “there is no sexual relationship”; finally, we’ll propose some conclusions about the relationship between metapsychology, ethics and logic, and its importance for a systematic approach of the ethics of psychoanalysis in the last period of Lacan’s teaching.

Keywords : Metapsychology; Ethics; Logic.
