The social constructionist approach considers that the discursive productions not only convey ideas, knowledge or personal opinions, but also memories elements built together by generation´s peers. Objective: the aim of this research is to identify the narratives built about the Malvinas subject in students of a military institute. Methodology: An exploratory qualitative study was carried with four focus group of 12 members each. It was proposed to remember about Malvinas, based on: sovereignty, political context, the war, the war veterans and the casualties. Results: Emergent categories were developed from the narratives based on the discussed subjects proposed. The different versions of history present as an impediment the rhetoric organization of the contest, its participants and its heroes, making difficult the commemorations of the war and its victims
