Abstract

DAICH, Deborah. Te conozco Mascarita: Prácticas de identificación en el mundo judicial penal. Avá [online]. 2008, n.12, pp.43-62. ISSN 1851-1694.

Even if the "question of identity" is present in every legal procedure, it shows itself in different ways. Many are the ways to identify a person, and many are the forms to conceptualize these identification methods and their uses. Therefore, our aim is to reflect on some identification practices, such as the "suspect lineup" and others, present in the world of criminal justice. Thus, in this article we seek to account how the 'question of identity', the need to establish a person's identity, is penetrating criminal procedures, making use of different materials and acquiring diverse uses and meanings.

Keywords : Criminal Justice; Identification Practices.
